Work plan
Review your current tasks, their dates, assignments and progress.
Work & plans keeps the jobs you intend to do, their due dates and their progress together. A job can name the stock or place it concerns, helping someone understand what needs doing.
Create or update jobs on Task changes, then read the current list on Work plan or Calendar view. When a job also moves, produces or removes stock, record that farm event on its own page as well.
Begin on Task changes. Choose Create, describe the work and enter its due date. Add a stock number or place when that helps the person doing the work find the right thing. Finish the row and follow its Include entry step, then open Work plan to check the task.
Work plan shows the current list. Make later changes on Task changes so the history keeps the earlier plan too. This is useful when work is delayed or assigned to someone else.
Return to Task changes to revise a job or mark its progress. Work history shows those updates. If the work also moves stock, creates a harvest or removes an amount, enter that event on its matching page. The task tells you about the job; the stock entry keeps the stock figures up to date.
Calendar view shows a week of saved tasks inside the spreadsheet. You can use it without connecting a separate Google Calendar.
The optional Google Calendar display copies saved tasks to a separate calendar made by Farmer’s Helper. Connect it once on General settings. After changing tasks, use Update Google Calendar on Start Here; one click starts that update. Keep making task changes in the spreadsheet, because editing a displayed Calendar event does not update the task there. See the connection and update steps.
Read the guide for instructions. The separate Google Sheets link opens the page where you work.
