Processes

Name the growing or handling processes your stock follows. A process is the overall sequence of work; its individual steps are stages, which you define on Stage plans.

Growing or handling process

Enter a clear name for the overall workflow. For example, Tray growing can contain Sowing, Germination, Growth and Harvest. Those are its stages, rather than four separate processes.

Show in dropdowns

Choose Yes if you want this to be an available option in your dropdown menus. If you choose No, it will not appear as a new option. Existing records are kept.

Reference keep unchanged

This reference connects this setup entry to its saved history. Leave it unchanged.

When stock needs a process

Use a process when following stages helps you manage the stock. Stock that is simply received and stored can have no process or starting stage. When you do choose a process for a stock type, choose its starting stage from that process on Stage plans.
