General settings
Enter your farm name, a person or team name, and the currency you use. The buttons let you add a farm template, connect Google Calendar, and check your setup for errors.
Farm name
Enter the name you use for your farm. It helps identify this spreadsheet.
Person or team name
Enter the name of the person or team using this spreadsheet.
Record currency
Enter the currency used for this spreadsheet, such as CAD or USD.
Choose a farm template
A template prepopulates the setup with starting entries relevant to a particular type of farm. It provides a helpful starting point. Choosing a template does not overwrite existing records. Template loading can take a minute.
Connect Google Calendar
Connect a dedicated Farmer’s Helper calendar to view planned work, such as growth-cycle tasks, in Google Calendar. Connecting prepares the calendar. Use Update Google Calendar on Start Here when you want to send your recorded work plan to it.
Check setup
Check setup checks your setup for errors before you start working with the spreadsheet. It tells you which tab, row and cell need attention. Correct any mistakes you recognise, then run Check setup again. A successful check does not change your stock records.
